This is a great place to go. There are many different species to catch. There is little to no shade but lots of places to camp. One public camp ground at the Dam several places to camp around the lake.

fishing from the east shores a long lakeshore dr is extreamly slow if you're fishing for anything but carp. landed 3 two-3 foot nice sized carp using homemade dough balls on a method feeder around 9am-2pm just this past sunday. nothing since then.

Black Bass:Predictable this time of year;Carolina rigs-Main lake points,Submerged brush,roadbeds..AT 18 TO 20 FT Deep.Crappie are slow.A few are still being caught around fm 1097 bridge;just move until you find them.Use minnows or chartruse jigs.Catfish are excellent.Find shad=found cats.White bass/hybrids are being caught early while trolling spoons

I didn't get to chase the lakers or Kokanee but heard the bite was good. Rainbow bite was great and steady all day, nothing to big but a lot of fish.

nice little pond thats well managed, and safe. It lies in a vermont state park and thus has a fare number or Rangers that check fishing licenses often. Great place to flyfish or cast for trout, use mostly U.L. spinning outfits and 2-4wt fly rods. Small to med. inline spinners work very well, as well as dry and wet flies. Red worms work the best but half of crawlers work well also. Bluegill, Bass, are not fished for by the locals so these fish are much bigger than the size of the pond would suggest. BullHead and pickerel can also be found here although I have not fished for them myself.

Fishing Report:
108 acre reservoir is electric motors only, It has Restrooms (no water), Swiming area, picnicking, and good shore fishing areas. Channel Catfish are stocked about every other year or so. Its 10 feet deep max but averages 5 feet or less. Boaters beware! Spring and early summer is best for Crappies when they come close to shore, no boat needed. Catfish year around, Best early morning, even though most go at night. Chicken Livers, Night Crawlers work the best, Don't forget to try stink baits some of the biggest Catfish have been taken on them. Panfishing is very fun. Huge numbers are found along the shoreline. bobber fishing with red worms and nibblets work best. Largmouth Bass hit buzz baits around weeds, 1/8 to 1/4 Oz. Lipless cranks work great. All and all this is a great place to take the family or just yourself. Also there is a great tackle shop right at the lake. Cappy's is a great help to all levels of fisherman. Good prices, and good range of supplies for what ever you're after. Good Fishing

kintla lake is in glacier national park the most northern lake in Montana. No fishing license required and no motors on boats either BUT!! there are some true lunker lakers to be had the scenery is God's back yard. Enjoy and jig a big natural colored spoon[natural]...

mike Noland here, I spent 5 hrs on flathead today and fishing was MAD. Theres A slot limit 30-36in witch transfers to fish weighing 9 to 25lbs are to be released I released 6 fish in the slot I harvested 13 fish in the 6-14lb range and released what I was after A 41 in 28lb monster Thats 19 fish in 5hrs and never went deeper than 30ft. Catching fish of that caliber in shallow water is true Maddnes!!!
